Final touches are underway at award winning Everwitch Theatre in Lealholm as their company of rural community actors prepare to stage their latest exciting & fun-filled new devised play, Around The Moors in 80 Hours! which was commissioned by 3MinuteArts, and will be performed at Glaisdale’s Mini Art’s Festival and at Whitby Museum this summer!

From the smuggling community of Staithes to the wilds of Fairy Cross Plain on the North York Moors, can Phileas Fogg  and Passepartout  successfully undertake another impossible wager!

With the hilarious physical comedy of Paul Lambert as the put-upon Manservant, Passepartout, to Pascal Thivillion’s seriously determined Mr Phileas Fogg, and Karen Joiner’s delightfully wild former Herring Lass/ now Smuggler joining their wager, can the famous duo possibly survive an 80 hour ordeal that includes encounters with dangerous moor-life, including fog dwelling Jack O’Lanterns, a mysterious Barguest, a Hand of Glory, a freak snow storm and more?

This fun packed adventure is engagingly led by local Danby farmer and actor, Steve Smith, as the local Pannierman, who kicks the story off  telling of the time he encountered the infamous duo and of their adventures, as he makes his way along The Pannierman’s Way from Castleton to Staithes.
